What is an International Driving Permit or IDP?

An International Driving Permit (IDP) can assist you in driving overseas using your own valid driver's license. It is often required by car rental companies and frequently requested by traffic authorities if you show your foreign driver's license. 

The IDP translates your driver's license into a language your destination country understands, making it simple to use and easy to understand for both English and Non-English speakers. Please note that while the IDP is a useful tool, it is not an official identification document and cannot be used as a replacement for a driver's license.
